Sony Ericsson through 2008 - Mobile phones that will blow your mind

By: Mobileshop.com LTD

The world of mobile phones is a hard-fought war. The big names all want to beat their competition, and stick it to those other ones who make phones. One of the biggest names in the industry is Sony Ericsson, the big joint venture from those giants of their respective fields Sony and Ericsson (well, obviously). But what mobile phonesdo they have in store for 2008? What models are they going to launch, to smite the competition?
Sony Ericsson Paris - The P-Series mobile phone goes nuclear
The Sony Ericsson Paris is all set to be the next big thing from the Japanese/Swedish manufacturer. Early news about its specs show that it's packed with cool stuff, ranging from an awesome 5 megapixel camera, satnav, a brand new UIQ interface and super-fast web access, to make a awesomely powerful mobile phone.
On top of that, the whole package is wrapped up in a sleek, sliding body, made mostly of metal, with a full QWERTY keyboard, making it truly a device that will change the way we view mobile phones forever!
Sony Ericsson G-Series Mobile Phones - Smartphones for the masses
Filling in the next niche in the market, and trying to get more people used to using smartphones for when the world heads for the next generation, the G-Series of mobile phones from Sony Ericsson have set out to be the smartphone for the average user. To that end, you'll start to see compact smartphones, in more traditional mobile phone shapes, but much more highly powered.
This series of phones is going to be another one that changes the way phones are used in 2008.
Sony Ericsson C-series mobile phones - camera phones of the future
But of course, no mobile phone company would dream of having a product range without a huge, massive load of camera phones in it. And Sony Ericsson are just the same, since they have an entire series of camera phones, the super-powered, superlative Cyber-Shot series (trying saying that one drunk!)
And right at the top of that group is the upcoming Shiho, a mobile phone that doesn't even have a model number yet, and is known only by its codename. What is not actually known, but bly rumoured is that it's going to have a whopping great big 7.2 megapixel camera, autofocus, and, for the first time on a Sony Ericsson mobile phone, optical zoom. If that is indeed true, that's going to make it the most powerful camera phone in existence, bar none!
Sony Ericsson W-Series Musicphones - going after the iPhone
As far as music phones go, we can expect at least one new version of the Walkman music player, and it's going to find its way into all the Walkman phones that come out. But what will be the big Sony Ericsson Walkman phone to keep your eye on?
Well, it's a phone so new it hasn't even got a codename yet, let alone a model number! However, one thing's pretty certain: they're going to be making it as an iPhone killer, with a huge screen, huge lashings of built-in memory, and a sexy, ultra-sleek interface that will rival anything the iPhone can do.
Sony Ericsson Xperia Mobile Phones - Sony Ericsson and Windows Mobile make enticing bedfellows…
It's not been announced yet whether the new Xperia range of phone will ALL be built on Windows Mobile, so we'll have to just go by the Sony Ericsson X1, the flagship mobile phone in the range.
And what a stunner it is! Powered by Windows Mobile, with a stunning 3 megapixel camera, built in GPS, and ludiscrously fast internet access, it may well be the first in the line, but I'm telling you now, it won't be the last!
With a product range as broad as that, it's no wonder Sony Ericsson are going to be going great guns this year. In the world of mobile phones, innovation is what matters, and Sony Ericsson are damn good at doing that! 2008 will be their year!
