If there is one thing, I have never done in my life that is stay in luxury hotel. By this, I mean a five star all catered and pampered package of a unique and ridiculously expensive hotel whilst on holiday in a warm climate. Luxury hotels are generally seen as a place open only to the rich and wealthy, because of their expensive price range and exclusive service. These hotels are not just a temporary stay with a posh roof over your head, but an experience that leaves you feeling positively revived. What makes a luxury hotel a luxury hotel? What should you avoid when picking out a luxury hotel for your holiday? How much do the normally cost and what services are offered for the price? These are just a few of the questions one would ask themselves when selecting luxury hotels to reside in when going abroad. A hotel like this does not always come cheap and can often be more expensive than what it is really worth. However, these are more popular with couples, hen parties, stag do's and family breaks away. Some luxury hotels are not as expensive as they were in the past, with many hotels dropping down the price at certain seasons and offering bargain prices to attract a wider audience. These hotels however, do cap you for some of the services. For example, if you were to book a hotel at its full price then you will be offered the service package. However, at a discounted price you may only be eligible for certain packages such as mini facials and use of spa facilities. What constitute a luxury hotel is its unique facilities offered to guests, their high class and good quality service and the exquisite luxurious rooms. Some of the most famous hotels have been featured in films and television programmes for its original decor and versatile services. Such hotels include the Bellagio Resort (Oceans 11, 12 and 13), The Roosevelt Hotel (Maid in Manhattan) and Chateau de Villette (The Da Vinci Code). Good managerial skills, customer service skills and attention to detail is vital to all luxurious hotels, especially if they are ones which accommodate high paying guests. A luxury hotel will also be accompanied by impressive surrounding views; therefore, location is vital for attracting potential clients and customers. Most hotels will include breakfast meals sent to your door, which is a bonus if you can find something like this included in your price. One of the key distinctions between a luxury hotel and a cheap hotel is that you do not have the privilege of having your own house cleaner, bell hopper and someone to carry your belongings to and from the room. Luxury hotels are designed to keep you comfortable with exclusive furniture, impressive views from your window, good luxury facilities and the option to use their in-house massage facilities.
